    About the Book

    Edit

In our everyday as we move we are usually disconnected from our physical actions and their effects on the immediate environment, because velocity and space conspire to erase any sense of specific encounter. In a very real way, walking reconnects us with our environment by re-establishing a sensory relationship to unmediated specifics of time and place. This pause seems to happen when we are thrown out of our context, our everyday. Here we pause, we remember, we touch, and we grow; when we take a walk elsewhere.
