This collection of poetry explores the different aspects of life that I have come to understand and form beliefs on throughout my high school years. I have found inspiration in people, nature and my experiences in times of happiness and despair. My poems serve as a window to some of my deepest thoughts and beliefs. I began writing poetry as a way to get out my frustrations, and it has quickly become my primary method of finding solutions to my problems and answers to my questions. Poetry has allowed me to mature as both a thinker and a writer and has taught me the amazing and artful powers words can have when they are manipulated. I dedicate this work to my graduating class at the Academy of the Sacred Heart and to my family because they are the people who have given me the courage to be myself and have awakened me to the infinite beauty of life.
