The Paintball Predicament is a short story written by Joseph Holt who is an adjunct instructor of English for the University of Minnesota. Holt is currently living in Aberdeen, writing and teaching distance courses in English. The illustrations for the book were created by Jacob Bosmoe and around 60 painting students from Aberdeen Central High School. Each of the 14 chapters in the short story is followed by a series of 3-5 paintings that are related to that chapter. This does not read like a traditional children's book where there is an illustration to accompany every page or section of text!
