the concept is more how do the soccer fields play with its context. as you can see my work always goes behind the structure of the images. the favela is a place where physical structure happens spontaneous, but by shooting the aerial views of the favelas i found that the soccer fields introduce a spacial reference, something that goes beyond the simple need of surviving (and understandable under those circumstances), something sacred. these soccer fields, in much of the cases, are the only public space of the entire neighborhood, and acts as a space of resistance of the public realm. you can see a selection of images (see attached 1) that goes from the single geometric reference of a country side area, to other that are the single free space of a mass of constructions.
