About the Book
The Texas State Railroad is a historical railroad located in Rusk/Palestine, Texas. Originally established in 1881, the Railroad is still going strong today preserving the heritage of railroading for future generations.
The railroad's steam engines are historically authentic examples from the great age of railroading.
Trains carry passengers on a twenty-five mile scenic ride through the east Texas forests between Palestine and Rusk.
The photographs contained in this book are those of a railroading enthusiast and Texas State Railroading volunteer, a "Friend of the Texas State Railroad." Warren Warner captured these images with great affection at both stations, on numerous rides and at points all along the route.
