I graduated in 2011 with a BA Honours in Fine Art Painting from Liverpool John Moores University, having studied full-time for three years at St Helens College in Merseyside. Now drawing and painting full-time from my studio at home and taking every opportunity to draw on the move, Blurb books are a great showcase for my work. 'Drawing on Experience' is to be a series of picture books enhanced by text to celebrate my delight in drawing in any number of settings, with particular emphasis on the people who bring spaces to life. My first book is in appreciation of the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, the images and text speaking for themselves. The next will feature friends from Garswood Rambling Club, in various rural and pub locations. Garswood Art Club and Ashton Art Group are in my to-do pile, where fellow artists are gamely tolerant of my drawing attentions. I write as I think, which flits from colloquial through academic to quirky, not always making perfect sense but good fun!
