The six images compiled in this book are photographs of the broken photograph "Piss Christ" by the American artist Andres Serrano. It was broken by Christian protesters using a hammer at the Collection Lambert in Avignon (France) on 27th April 2011.

All six images were found on the Internet as the outcome of a Google image search, and selected because they are close ups of the impact of the hammer. Each photograph was made in black and white but conserved in its original size after being downloaded from the web. Along with each photograph is the URL of the web address the image was taken from.
