In 2010, Kees tried to apply a filter to one of his photos that would make the image look black and white but without using black and white. The blacks were replaced with a royal dark blue and the whites with a warm subtle beige. The resulting image was a pleasing one and the filter was added to the workflow as a standard filter for his Photoshop CS2 (remember that this was 2010). The series resulted in an exhibition and the collection grew. The entire series between 2010 and 2012 was collected in this publication. An alternative to Creative Monochrome.
