WELCOME TO THE SUCK is a one-of-a-kind collection of combat photos, with more than 365 (color and B&W) images on 200 pages. Aircrew members of Darkhorse Troop 4-6 ACS captured these compelling pictures during their 15-month rotation in Iraq 2007-2008.
Darkhorse Troop is the Army’s premier assault helicopter troop. The precision and accuracy with which we leverage the speed and power of the UH-60 allows the ground commander to aggressively project combat power through air assaults, sustain his formation through air movement of personnel, equipment, and supplies, and conduct command and control throughout his battle space.
As bold, audacious cavalry troopers, we are a reconnaissance asset capable of denying our enemies their freedom of maneuver, enabling their suppression.
Finally, we are a TEAM characterized by disciplined initiative, commitment to excellence, and dedication to accomplishing the mission for our Squadron, our Army, and our Country!
