    About the Book

    Edit

Follow the Silk Road in a series of striking pictures. From Istanbul to Ankara, to Eastern Anatolia and across the border into Iran. Through the lesser known mountain region in the west, to legendary Isfahan, south into the desert to dusty Shiraz, and back north past Tehran. From there it's back to Turkey again, along the shores of Lake Van and further along the Syrian border towards Cappadocia and back to Istanbul.

He published a series of articles and two books on the voyage (www.rondomafrika.nl). Back ashore Edo has taken up sailing professionally; with managing and part time skippering classic sailing yacht Lady Ann (www.ladyann.nl) and with expedition vessel Long Tall Sally on the drawing boards (www.longtallsally.nl). In the mean time 4x4 overland travelling has become another passion; and yet another way of life to publish about. So travelling with his family or professionally: Edo does the writing and photographing along the way.
