About the Book
Thomas is a special boy who quickly realises that he wants to be like his mum and wear dresses and have his hair long and lovely and play with make-up. I'm not sure about his sexuality. His mum, being unaware of this, always longed for a boy and tells all her friends how proud she is of Thomas. She wants him to grow up being a typical boy doing typical boy things.This book charts the journey Thomas and his mum make. The images come from first making a total of ten boys and eleven mums out of material and then using an intaglio printing process to apply their faces and their thoughts across their stomachs. The pages of the book in real life are attached at the feet by velcro. The book reads with Thomas' thoughts, followed by his mothers and so on. This book is an abridged version, simply showing the faces and Thomas and his mum, and their writing almost like a diary telling us of their thoughts.

I am told by most people i meet that i bring chaos into people's lives. I don't mean to but at times, my head is pretty chaotic and this impacts on my friends and family. My Fine Art Tutor says you never know what will happen around me, in a good way
