Randy and I were raised in the woods. Our Mom and Dad are elves. Really. They live high in the treetops in the Virginia forest. So, we're pretty much at home in the woods.



In 2008, we decided to go live in the swamp along the Edisto River in South Carolina because, well, it seemed like the thing to do. This book tells about our adventures in the swamp, the Magic Water of Blackville, the Aiken Bluegrass Festival, the Rivers Bridge battlefield and our conversation with the biggest damn rattlesnake you ever did see.
