The itinerary covers a wide part of Honshu, main island of the Japan archipelago, spreading east to west from Tokyo to Hiroshima, including the Takayama mountain region, Kanazawa on the Japan sea coast, Kansai region and the Inland sea shores.
Themes and places approached here tends to be as wide as possible. However only a tiny slice of what Japan may offer to a foreign visitor has been covered. The country benefits of a vast cultural, architectural, environmental and gastronomic wealth that can only be skimed through a such brief journey. This book aims mainly to arouse in you, reader, a wish to explore those places and to bring back an excellent souvenir, shall it be photographic or not.
