My father slowly acquired a couple each Thursday night when he 'just popped out for an hour' to meet a friend for a weekly pint and a chat. Forty years later this informal collection filled two boxes with over 1000 in each box documenting phenomenal change in the industry and drinking habits as well as some great designs and marketing slogans.

With nearly 1000 beer mats in full colour with accompanying notes, this volume reflects breweries predominantly from the north and the Midlands and documents long lost beers and breweries that many will remember from a massively changed industry.
