About the Book
"The Bus" is a photo essay exploring the culture of El Pasoans, young and old, who use the public transportation system. As the city grows, I was interested in taking an inside look to how bus systems differed from city, which was compared to Portland, Oregon's metro-state transportation system.

Vicky Diaz
El Paso, TX
Vicky Diaz is a California-born, El Paso-raised writer and photographer. Her interests are rooted in social issues investigated through journalism, documented through photography and fueled by the intrigue to expose truth. Diaz is earning her Bachelor's Degree at New Mexico State University and has studied photography under former New York Times photographer, Bruce Berman. The constant search for truth is motivation to her stories and photos.
