    About the Book

    Edit

In December 2011, just two days after I left my position with Ride BMX Magazine I boarded a plane and flew to the other side of the planet for what would be the longest trip I had ever been on. With only a small backpack each and plans to spend a total of five weeks traveling around Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, my travel partner and dear friend Lindsay Matush and I set out on an odyssey of epic proportions. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagined I'd be able to see, do, and experience so many incredible things in such a short amount of time, but every day was filled with more excitement, surprise, and adventure than the last. I had a phenomenal time, and knowing that I would start a new life of full-time self-employment when I returned from this mini-retirement was extremely liberating.

Though it would be impossible to capture the true scope of what we encountered in nature and in the different cultures on our voyage, this collection of photographs is a small glimpse of what stood out most to me.
