Independents in Miniature is Randall Olson's 4th book about scale model cars and trucks in 1:43rd scale.



This time the subject is models of vehicles from the so-called "independent" North American makers from the 20th century.



In this publication, Randall presents more than 600 color photos and descriptions of scale model Packards, Studebakers, Nashes, Hudsons, Duesenbergs, White trucks and many other products from some now obscure makers such as Moon and Maxwell.



The collection is impressive with many Motor City USA, Precision Miniatures, Minimarque, Brooklin, Victory, Automodello, Shrock and Conquest models presented including dozens of one of a kind conversions by John Roberts and Jerry Rettig.



Reference numbers and brief histories of key replicas such as the "Step Down" Hudsons and its builders are also presented. This has already been described as a "must have book" from fair goers who saw it at the recent 2012 1/43 Scale Model Car Expo in Chicago. It is simply the newest and most comprehensive book about scale models of the Independents in existence.
