GIZ is an organisation that supports the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of international development.



In early 2010 I was commissioned to produce a photographic book to give an overview of GIZ activities in Northern Afghanistan, containing a series of photographs documenting their economic development projects.



I produced the images and designed the layout of the book.



These programmes are meant to develop the local economy and revive traditional craftsmanship.The book aims to to illustrate what is being done with a fresh look, focusing on the individuals, their daily struggle and the changes that these projects have brought to their lives and their communities.
