Picture Hope is visual journey around the world through the lens of humanitarian photographer and filmmaker, Mike Slagter. It is a fusion of dramatic action shots, wild landscapes and striking portraits of the people he has met along the way. Mike sees photography as a way to cultivate change and bring awareness in a raw and artistic way. His heart is to create images that cause the viewer to appreciate what surrounds them and to celebrate the joy of being alive. The underlining theme of Picture Hope is also the essence of what Mike aspires to: "To live for God, is to live for adventure."
