About the Book
We visited the Great Barrier Reef, where Scott went scuba diving and Beverly took a helicopter ride. We did an extended city and harbor tour of Sydney, Australia, and boarded the Diamond Princess there. We then took a cruise with stops at Melbourne, Hobart, Fiordland National Park, Dunedin, Akoroa, Tauranga, and Auckland. We then flew to Fiji, where we were met by extensive flooding due to a huge tropical depression. It was a great trip.

Scott was born and raised in Lehi, UT. He served an LDS mission to Peru in 1964-66. He and his wife Beverly served a mission to Peru in 2008-2009, to Spain in 2012-13, to NYC in 2015-16, to Denver in 2018-19. Scott graduated from BYU with a BS in chemistry and from Florida State U. with a Ph.D. in molecular biophysics. He did post-doctoral work at Cornell University and later was on the faculty in the BYU Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry for 30 years. Current interests: Spanish, photography, travel, art, music, fitness, nutrition, and church and humanitarian service.
