About the Book
Society tells women and girls that their bodies are not okay. The messages we get from the media, and even our friends and family, are dismal: We need makeup to look pretty; life is better lived in skinny jeans; and eating ice cream will make us fat. We need to combat the system that's teaching elementary school kids to go on diets, and instead teach them that their bodies are amazing and special because of what they can do, not because of what they look like. This easy-to-read book will show girls how to have love and acceptance for their awesome bodies.
