I have been photographing kingfishers for a full year now, have experienced these wonderful little characters in all weathers and have witnessed their differing behaviour according to the season and period in their lifecycle. It has been a wonderful and immensely rewarding year and I consider myself very privileged and fortunate to have the opportunity to be so well-placed to take the photographs you will see in this book.
