About the Book
I believe people should have a greater understanding of their genealogy.
I never knew my grandfather Charles Mahony, he passed away before I was born, and it would sadden me to think, that a man of his reputation, would become just a name on a slab of limestone forgotten by my children’s grandchildren.
It’s up to those in the present to create the future, but to create one with access to the past is important. I have a lot to thank my ancestors for.
In the family tree, there are myriad avenues to pursue so I want to carry on learning about my past and giving future generation’s reason to do the same.
A family tree is not about looking back, “We don’t need to delve into this stuff in order to do anything with it, other than just to kind of see it and let it be".
