About the Creator
Dr. Jan Loveless is founder and president of J-Bar Ranch Center for Experiential Learning in Visalia, CA. The J-Bar CEL's mission is Developing Human Potential with the Help of Horses. A career educator who has taught all levels from K-graduate school, Dr. Loveless created the J-Bar CEL to combat illiteracy in the San Joaquin Valley of California. At J-Bar Ranch, students improve reading, writing, math, science, history and art, all with the help of horses and other ranch animals. She lives on the ranch with dogs, cats, chickens, a donkey, a mule, a couple of goats, and a wonderful herd of horses, along with a very tolerant and helpful husband. She and Sid ("Buzz") Loveless were high school sweethearts and have been married more than four decades. Buzz is the managing partner of J-Bar Ranch and is an excellent instructor in all ranch programs.
