    About the Book

    Edit

Each contributor, or the person named with the recipe, has their roots in Southern Africa, primarily Zimbabwe or South Africa. Each recipe is well-loved and well used; selected because it was easy to make and delicious, whether you are an accomplished cook or not.

Together we support the Nel family, who continue to live in Zimbabwe currently with fifteen children. Sylvia & Dirk have become parents to children who had no home and no future, and their family continues to grow as more children need them. 10% of sale proceeds of this book will be sent directly to the Nel family. If you'd like to get to know them, visit http://www.changelhg.com/zimfamily/zimfamily.html

Cooking Safari Style is a tribute to the great home cooks of Southern Africa. This collection of over 100 of their favourite family recipes passed down from one generation to another is captured in a colourful photographic backdrop of countless treasured memories inspired by the land of their roots. Easy, delicious and steeped in a rich heritage splashed with our own kind of humour - we hope you will be laughing as you cook for years to come!
