    Sewing has always been a part of Nicole’s life. At the age of 10, Nicole began sewing with her mother and grandmother. Her grandmother, Gladys, was a talented seamstress and taught her mother, Linda, to sew at an early age. As a child, Nicole adorned the clothes that her mother made, which inspired her to begin designing clothes for herself and her friends. By the age of 12, Nicole had entered her first fashion competition. Her reversible pants won her first place! Nicole continued to sew and create fashion accessories throughout her teenage life and into college. In college, Nicole studied fashion merchandising and printmaking, along with photography. Her foundation in varied disciplines, in addition to her crazy mix of experience in the design world, enables Nicole to ingeniously re-design bridesmaid, wedding and vintage dresses into practical, wearable pieces of art. Nicole’s vision of Recycle My Dress became a reality in 2006. As bridesmaid dresses accumulated in her closet.....
