Born in 1942 in Los Angeles, Mc Bride was influenced early by his mother who worked in watercolors and porcelain. Mc Bride studied art at the Glassell School of Fine Arts and University of Houston. There he was absorbed in the study of color, sculpture, life drawing and poetry, refining his own visual and conceptual vocabulary that emerged through his forcus on drawing, painting and poetry. Mc Bride currently lives on Galveston Island and paints in oil, and pen and ink. He loves the life style of Galveston Island and the music of John Coltrane.
