This opening book of which includes 4 short books, sets out an overview of the visual materials and the images collected with an included activity, all of which lay out a ‘visual story’ and set out against a very personal archive. From the 1st part investigation of the Manchester Bombing, and it’s effect on the Royal Exchange Theatre. The 2nd part of the ‘Colour Analysis of Urban Colour, through to finally the 3rd part the investigation with the demise of handcrafted typography and the emergence of printing from the earliest forms to the ‘21st century Digital Form’ an investigation of this concludes with the Rylands Library. The materials offer up a template and a ‘base archive’ from which the user can make a start and then go on to build their own materials kit for investigation.
