    About the Book

    Edit

This album is a memorial to the author's maternal grandmother, Rosa Lundholm Lundberg, who immigrated to the US from Sweden in 1921 at the age of 23. The eldest of nine children born in an iron-factory town in central Sweden, she was sent to Stockholm in her teens to recover from an illness. There she met and fell in love with Henning Lundberg. They moved to the US, where they were married and raised two children together, until Henning's untimely death. On her own in the Great Depression, she took in sewing to make ends meet. After a life of hard work, dedication, faith and love, she died in 1980 at the age of 82. This is a belated tribute to her.
