The original challenge.



I was asked to produce some photographs that illustrated the period in my life when I did not have any access to our 2 year old daughter and the associated conflict.





The reality.



Powerless, stressed , sad , angry, lonely.

Not condusive to creating art.

Ever tried to breathe under water?





Why now?



We are seperated functional parents. Our daughter is asleep in her room at my home. I turned the situation around 180 degrees. I realised that if I was feeling powerless and all of the above, how must our child feel? She has no control over her environment or her feelings. Having come out the other side of this all to familiar nightmare for men, I'm now able to put my creative juices to work.





My hope.



Men that are in the midst of distress through access issues with their children may connect and relate to this book.

Let go, lets become the fathers our children need.
