Street photography is an everyday occupation - we are always looking for the next shot, the perfect light, the perfect location or moment. I made this notebook to capture some of the thoughts I have day-to-day in the city, like "wouldn't that be a great spot to come back to at night," or "I bet if you walked up that hill you'd get a great view."



The book has five sections - Locations, Notes, Sketches, Checklists, and Reference. I've included a zone focusing guide, Sunny 16 guide and EV chart for your reference, in case you are trying out some rangefinders or want to go full manual. I've also put in a few of the photos I've taken here in Edinburgh, mainly during the famous Edinburgh Festival.



For the checklist section, I suggest using it for inspiration ideas if you're stuck, for lists of events that happen in your town every year, and anything else that will keep you shooting.



I now carry this wee book everywhere with my camera, to scribble out my ideas and keep exploring my beautiful city.
