Eustice Maxwell was born about 1660 in Maxwellton, Scotland. His grandson Thomas was born in 1706 in Middlesex County, Virginia. Very little is known about the intervening years except that Eustice’s son Joel was born in 1689 in Scotland. He apparently migrated to Virginia in the New World and became the father of the American Maxwells. This revision approximately doubles the number of family members shown in the 2010 book.
