Searching for warmth in the cold winter nights, is poverty.

Sitting and sleeping on a wet concrete bed in the night, is poverty.

A loving mother,with two spoons full of rice and three children, is poverty.

A sick, deserted mother selling her child wishing it will survive, is poverty.

A defeated and despondent mother poisoning and killing her child is poverty.

Poverty is just the effect of oppression by the rich.

Who take so much from the poor who gets poorer everyday.

On this planet of ours the world advances, but poverty still cries.

Looking at the children with tears in their eyes.

I see poverty in the rich man producing his goods with slave labor.

I see poverty in the well-educated man who lacks modesty.

I see poverty in the literate man who lacks respect for the poor.

I see poverty in the selfish man who always wants more.

The world is diseased despite all the advancements.

Because there is, greed and Poverty.

Both would be easy to eliminate.
