About the Creator
Roger Cracknell International photographer Roger Cracknell has spent many years exploring, observing and capturing the cultural diversity in Britain through a series of images that encapsulate our unique annual festivals. Many of these iconic events have pagan origins, others have simply been passed through the generations and the rest are more recent, but each presents the wonderful and often eccentric expressions in Britain today. Celebration through diversity of culture and ethnicity combine to make Britain a unique landscape of colour, sound and traditions whether revived or even invented. This book represents a selection of Roger’s images and he continues to explore the UK discovering festivals old and new that will further enhance our already rich heritage.
