Born Seattle 1939, moved to San Francisco before the end of the war, moved to Marin County 1949. Graduated from Tamalpais Union High School 1957. AA degree College of Marin 1960, B.A. San Francisco Art Institute 1962, M.F.A. San Francisco Art Institute 1964. Taught at University of Illinois, Maidstone School of Art, England, San Francisco Art Institute, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, City College of San Francisco. I've made welded steel sculpture since 1959, drawing from early childhood. I have drawers filled with drawings so I made some of these books so someone other than the inside of a drawer can see them. There's more to come, I have a huge store of stored drawings.
