Stephan R. Leimberg, is a professional fine art and portrait photographer. Known as the “Bird Man of Amelia,” Steve was the 2008 International Nikon - Popular Photography Mentor Series Grand Prize Winner and won first place in Photography at the 2014 Amelia Island Shrimp Festival. Steve’s portraits, FACES OF AMELIA series featured Amelia Island notables such as Dickie Anderson, Charlie Taylor, Ann Coonrad, “Raven,” Ron Kurtz, Char Bachman, “Miss Marlene” Deutcher, and Kevin McCarthy. He’s created portraits of ACT notables Sinda Nichols, Ron Kurtz, Graham Thomas and Linda McClane and a book cover for poet/author Nola Perez.. Leimberg’s portrait of author Pat Conroy (Price of Tides) is the inner back fly-cover for Conroy’s latest book, My Life In Reading. He is well known for his stunning prints of birds and other Amelia Island wildlife and landscapes.
