The Boreal Scratch Monoprints are a series of individually unique images hand printed in silkscreen and etching. They were developed from multiple layers of designs and drawings that have been printed in different colours with specific modifications for each image. These monoprints were made in response on a return visit to Northern Ontario after a long absence. I was reminded of the powerful character of this landscape. I produced these works in an attempt to answer the question of just how has this experience implanted itself in me.
