March 26th 2011 saw up to 500,000 people march the streets of London to protest against government spending cuts in the public sector.



'No cuts' is a black and white documentation of this event, shot entirely on film.



'In 'No Cuts', the juxtapositions between the photographs are poignant, from the diagonal alignment of flags to a disapproving glare, its’ diptych nature carries the human story forward. Looking into the depths of each photograph characters become apparent. From within the mass of bodies you notice a tired child or a whistle-blowing father. The eye contact, the direct gaze, the occasional confrontational stare, transcends the anarchic representations of the mainstream press. Genuine human nature is revealed: the protesters become people.
