Australia’s natural environment is worthy of being placed on anyone’s travel to list. Australia is the smallest continent but not the largest island. With approximately 83% of the land area of the U.S. but about 7% of the population one might be tempted to say the Australian environment is not in danger. To the credit of Australian’s, there are amazing preservation efforts being made. The Australian Zoo, which continues Steve Irwin and family’s environmental and education efforts, reminds us all that many species are seriously threatened.
