This book records a photographic conversation that has taken place over a period of sixteen months, between two women photographers based in Birmingham, England and the Isle of Mull, off the west coast of Scotland.



The idea was to start an ongoing dialogue using images alone, and to explore the different elements within conversation. The images would not be discussed in verbal conversations while the project was live. Each photographer would keep a separate journal, recording thoughts about the image received and the decisions made in the choice of reply.
