In 2002, a group of women from the Tilden Women's Golf Club made a pact to one day fly to Finland and meet up with our friend Asta. Problem was - I was afraid to fly.



Cynthia Cambell offered to have her husband Joe, take me up to see if I could overcome my fear. She told me about the awesome patterns of the Central Valley farmlands. She thought it would make a cool coffee table book.



So up we went, heading Southeast, then North and finally West back to the Hayward Airport. I got dozens of images and she was right - the patterns and the colors were amazing.



This book is dedicated to Cynthia. She helped me fly!
