    About the Book

    Edit

Hundreds of millennia ago, Man rebelled against his mother, Her Natural Majesty. Tired of her autocratic rule, he slowly established his own realm, and launched an all-out attack on Our Mother. Caught by surprise, her troops were no match for Man's advanced techniques, and he quickly conquered her land. But after winning the Battle of Raymer, Our Mother's troops established a small stronghold. Now, as the war slows, they do what they have to in order to keep their land, and their lives.

The narration evades common anthropocentric views and looks on the tale from Nature's side, offering a fresh and unique perspective.

The photographs in this book were taken at Woodhaven Nature Conservancy Regional Park over a period of over four months, between July and October 2010. They display the small examples of great beauty present in the park, and assist in this creative retelling of the everlasting struggles between Man and Nature.
