About the Book
Fourteen ambitious design students, one large house to decorate for the holidays and a deadline. So began the story of how we decorated our first home for a Holiday Tour of Homes Show open to the public in Atlanta, Georgia.
The pressure of preparing a home for a Tour that was open to the public was both motivating and a bit scary. Fortunately, we had the canvas of a beautifully styled home upon which to add our holiday decorations. We also had the luxury of an experienced design school instructor who provided mentoring and guidance along the way.
To provide unity from room to room, we selected Christmas carols as our whole-house theme. Each room was decorated in keeping with a popular Christmas carol including, among others, Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells and White Christmas.
As you turn the pages of this book, I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for your own holiday decorating.
