SWEAT is an independent and non-profit collaborative workshop. Our goal is to develop projects that will provide the opportunity to collaborate, create compelling, poignant work and engage in summer fun. During the 2010 intensive, one week workshop, eleven selected participants were introduced to twelve hammers and the design objective: create work in response to the question: “What is the graphic expression of 100 hammers?” and through a combined effort, determined how the project was going to be completed. The participants without compensation or academic credit, attended the scheduled workshop sessions and upheld the roles and responsibilities they decided to take on. The contribution of their efforts represents a commitment to design, thought and the exchange of ideas.
