I am an ophthalmologist and LASIK surgeon living and practicing in Northern NJ. I have always loved taking photos since my early teenage years. I have no formal training in photography, although I took some photo classes while in college at Boston University. I also took some classes at the New School in NYC during my summers of Med School. I used to do all my own B&W developing in my own darkroom when younger. Once the kids started coming (I have 3, aged 25, 22, and 20), the darkroom made its way into boxes in my basement. Digital photography has allowed me to get back into photography in a big way. I now shoot exclusively digital with my new Nikon D3S and Leica M8 cameras. They are both awesome cameras. I mostly shoot in B&W, and do all my own archival printing. My office is filled with both my prints from over the years, and prints that I collect. My patients seem to enjoy looking at all my prints.
