Nubia Sarmiento is born in Colombia and naturalized in the United States 23 years ago. Since a very early age she always dreamed of living the American dream. Nubia studied 5 years of Engineering in Bogota, Colombia. Due to difficulties finding work in her hometown, she decides to immigrate to the United States. In 2002 she married and in 2004 she had her only daughter. The economic situation was very difficult so she decided to study photography and start her own business at home, so she could take care of her daughter and have an income to be able to give her daughter a better future.Today, now that her daughter is 20 years old and has left home, Nubia is alone again trying to find a reason to continue living. This is why she decides to create books for children, to create a fantasy world that makes her lose herself from reality. Children love books and illustrated books are the first contact with knowledge of reality.
