About the Book
The photographs within this book were taken on my first trip to New York, for the occasion of the wedding of my dear friends Helen Butcher and Diarmuid Hester. These photographs are an attempt to capture some of the flavours, vistas and textures which caught my eye during my time in this inspirational city.
I find myself drawn to looking at things from strange angles and delighting in the abstraction of isolated close-ups, all in pursuit of seeing beauty in the everyday and commonplace.
I'm based in sunny Brighton, on the south-coast of England, and have a quintessentially British addiction to a good cup of tea!
