    About the Book

    Edit

From the fleeting views of Africa's highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro, to the abundant wildlife of the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, to the cradle of civilization in Olduvai Gorge, northern Tanzania is a land of infinite natural wonders. One becomes immediately enamored with bathing elephant families, thundering stampedes of migrating zebra and wildebeests, and the occasional hunting pride of lions. But then one notices what lies beyond the obvious, the true essence of the place: the brilliant silhouettes of Acacia trees created by golden sunsets, the bright colors worn by Massai people, the rare early morning mist blanketing the arid Serengeti, and the little details left in the sand by those who ventured there before. There are so many magical moments that one forgets where reality ends and the dream begins.
