About the Creator
Artist Michael Minas works in his studio in Teddington, South-West London where he settled in 1966 after graduating from Hornsey College of Art’s Painting School. A Greek-Cypriot, he made his home here and took part in many group and solo exhibitions, which gather together the artist’s diverse pictures in media ranging from oils to acrylics, pastels and charcoal. Recent and forthcoming solo exhibitions include the Stables Gallery at Orleans House, Twickenham, the Robert Phillips Gallery, Walton- on- Thames, Simon Harrison Ltd, London, and The Fountain Gallery, Hampton Court. *** 'Michael Minas is a painter who is absorbed by the perceptible objective world, but who uses his acute skill as an observer to go well beyond portrayal, to experiment, extend, reflect and invent. He is captivated by the excitement and sheer pleasure of colour.' Marina Vaizey 2010
