Serena Safari Lodge is located under Mt. Kilimanjaro on the Amboseli Plains in Kenya. The lodge is a magical place covered in lush vines and surrounded by indigenous trees. One of its many distinct features are the murals covering almost every interior surface, and depicting the animals and culture of the region. Yony Waite- a Kenyan, has worked on the Serena murals since the lodge opened almost 30 years ago. A noted artists in Kenya, Waite is from California originally but has lived and worked in Kenya since the 1960's.
